Opkikker - Get well card

Om de vorige kaart ook even als beterschapskaartje uit te werken, koos ik voor de toepasselijke kikkers. Zou iemand opgekikkerd worden hierdoor? Naast de stickers gebruikte ik nog de nestabilities.


This time I used the tissue box card as a get well card and it is very cute with the frogs I think. Besides the stickers I used the nestabilities.

Pop up tissue kaart - Pop up tissue card

Deze keer een goudkleurig kaartje, de randen bewerkt met distress inkt en de bloem vooraan geëmbost met donker wow poeder, zowel stempel als poeder gekocht bij Elke.
Binnenin is een klein tissue doosje, de tekst is ook weer met hetzelfde poeder geëmbost. Tekst komt ook van Elke.
Dergelijke kaarten kunnen gemaakt worden voor een verjaardag maar net zo goed om iemand beterschap te wensen.
Het idee komt van een youtube filmpje.


This time a gold colour card where I used distress ink for the corners, the flower in the front and the sentiment inside is embossed with dark wow powder. The powder and stamps are from Elke. Inside the card there is a little tissue box.
The card can be for a birthday but one can also make such cards for getting well.
The idea came from a youtube movie.

Roos met pastelkrijt - rose with pastel chalk (workshop)

Gisteren was er terug een workshop tekenen en deze keer gingen we aan de slag met pastel krijt, voor mij totaal nieuw. Onderwerp was een roos en bedoeling was vooral om de contouren en de diepte te zien. Zie hier mijn eerste poging.

Yesterday there was again a workshop drawing and this time we worked with pastel chalk. Totally new for me. The subject was a rose, and we had to make sure that the rose has the necessary depth and shadow. See here my first attempt.

Verjaardag - Birthday (65)

Steeds vergeten om deze kaart te plaatsen. Maakte ik voor de gelegenheid van mijn ma haar 65ste verjaardag. De cijfers zijn van karton, wat ik met distress inkt heb bewerkt en daarop glossy accents van Tim Holtz. Het borduurpatroontje blijft mijn favoriet en leent zich ideaal om iets in de midden te plaatsen.

I forgot to share the following card with you all, I made it for the birthday of my mother, she became 65 on 14th January. The numbers are from chipboard where I added distress ink and then glossy accents from Tim Holtz. The stitching pattern with beads is still my favorite and very useful to put something in the middle.

Uil - Owl

Zie hier het kaartje met de uil. Een borduurpatroontje (goedkope boekenzaak) op linnen papier geborduurd, blauw cardstock en dan de mandala die ingekleurd is met copics.

I finished the card with the mandala with the owl coloured with copics. I used blue cardstock and stitched on linen paper.

Vandaag even iets anders geprobeerd namelijk inkleuren van een mandala uit het boek van Marianne Klooster. Ingekleurd met copics. Later zal ik het ooit nog op een kaart verwerken.

Wit op Zwart tekening - white on black drawing

Gisteren op de tekenworkshop moesten wij een fles en een glas tekenen op zwart papier. Eenvoudig is het niet, eerst met zwart voortekenen en dan met wit krijt de kontouren goed tekenen en de lichtinval. Ikzelf ben niet 100% tevreden doch de leraar vond het goed geslaagd.

Toen ik het thuis aan mijn echtgenoot liet zien, vond hij het ook goed en tekende hij uit de vrije hand even ruw een melkfles op papier. Ik wou jullie dit ook niet onthouden, want ik vind die best ook leuk geworden.

Yesterday on the drawing workshop we had to make a drawing on black paper of a bottle and a glas, first with a black pencil and then with white. Very strange to do.
When I showed the drawing to my husband he made rough sketch of a bottle too and I wanted to share that with you too.

Uil - Owl (DT Creapaleis)

Deze maand kregen wij van Creapaleis een stempel met een uiltje (clears stamp Owl Pipa) om mee te werken alsook wat leuk papier. Ik koos voor mijn eerste creatie voor een leuk borduurpatroon van Anneke Design, distress inkt fired brick voor de rand en achter het uiltje, en kleurde het uiltje in met copics (YR07, E35, W7, E37, E57, E47, R46).

Our new task for Creapaleis was working with the clear stamp Owl Pipa and some nice paper. I chose for my first creation a stitching pattern from Anneke Design, some distress ink fired brick to do the corners and the background of the owl. The owl itself I coloured with copics (YR07, E35, W7, E37, E57, E47, R46).

Schelpen - shells

Ondertussen ben ik stilaan terug begonnen met te borduren, doch de resultaten zijn nog niet klaar. Dus ik toon jullie weer eentje uit de oude doos. Die maakte ik voor een vriendin die gek is op de zee. Ik blijf het een leuke kaart vinden.

A started stitching again, but the result is not ready yet so I show you one from the old box again. I still love this design and it was a birthday card for a friend of mine who adores the sea.

Vogel - bird

Eentje uit de oude doos, toen ik nog meer borduurde. Ik kon het niet laten om hem even met jullie te delen. Ik blijf de kleuren heel mooi vinden.

This time one from the past. I used to do more stitching then. I could not resist sharing this with you. I still like the colours.

Postzegelkaarten - stamp cards

Dit zijn de twee eerste kaartjes die voor verjaardagen de deur uitgaan dit jaar naar Oostenrijk. Wat is er typischer Nederlandser dan tulpen, en de postzegel nestability maakt het nog wat specialer.


These are the first birthday cards that leave the door this year to Austria. Typical dutch with tulips and the nestability in the scape of a poststamp makes it extra special.
